Youngster commits long-term future to hometown Club

NORWICH City Academy player Todd Cantwell has signed professional terms with the Club, and is set to continue his long-term affiliation with the Canaries by remaining at Carrow Road until at least the summer of 2019.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who was first brought to City by Youth Development Officer Colin Watts, starred as Graeme Murty's Under-18s side reached the quarter-finals of this season's FA Youth Cup.

Speaking exclusively to after signing his three-year deal, the Dereham youngster said: "It's brilliant to get a professional contract, especially here at Norwich.

"I've been working so hard to get one having played for Norwich all of my career. This season has been a good one for me, although I felt I had more to give until I got injured.

"My focus now is on coming back stronger next season. It's all about what I do between now and the end of the summer to get myself as ready as possible."
