Watch the Norwich City TV interview belowNEW Norwich City Chief Executive Jez Moxey says his immediate impressions of the Club have lived up to expectations after he completed his first day in the role.
Moxey, who watched Alex Neil's Canaries beat Blackburn Rovers convincingly in their opening match of the new campaign at the weekend, met staff at Carrow Road and Colney Training Centre on Monday as he got down to business in his new job.
In an interview with Norwich City TV, he said: "It's been really good. I've enjoyed meeting the people I've met so far, and there are lots more to go.
"I spent time at Colney to get a feel of what goes on there, and clearly I was very pleased to be at Ewood Park on Saturday for that emphatic victory.
"Having been in the game a long time, I've already established an understanding having come across Norwich many times before. We know that it is a really good club, and there are things that are really fantastic about it. Coming in today and speaking to people just confirms what I already thought.
"I understand the huge responsibility. I'm honoured to be here and to have that on my shoulders, and I will do everything I can to help the club develop on and off the pitch."
The former Stoke City and Wolves CEO is eagerly anticipating the weekend's visit of Sheffield Wednesday, adding: "I'm delighted that there are 22,000 season-ticket holders here, with a waiting list, and I'm really looking forward to Saturday.
"I know the fans really get behind the team and I think Carrow Road can be a real point-winner.
"It's the fans' football club, they are the life and soul of the club. They are the most important thing and we'll never forget that, and we're looking forward to hopefully having a great season."
