Striker relishing first appearance at Carrow RoadNORWICH City striker Nelson Oliveira can't wait to get going at his new Club after signing from Benfica on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to approval from the relevant football authorities.
The Portugal international completed a permanent switch to Carrow Road on Tuesday, following loan spells at Swansea City and Nottingham Forest in the past two seasons.
Speaking exclusively to Norwich City TV about the move, Oliveira said: "I feel very excited about scoring in this great stadium, in front of great fans.
"Ivo [Pinto] told me good things about the club and the city. Him being here makes it easier for me as I know him, but I've met all the players and it's a great group.
"I was at Nottingham Forest last year, which was good. That gave me more experience in English football, which is different to football in Portugal or Spain.
"It's more intense here but I've adapted to that, and it's something that I like."
Explaining the motivation behind penning a deal with Alex Neil's side, the 25-year-old forward added: "It’s a good opportunity to show my ability at a great club that trusts in me.
"I can promise that I will work hard and do my best to help the team. I'll let the fans do the talking about me because I don't like to talk about myself too much.
"All I can do is work hard to bring success to Norwich. I'm very excited to start and am looking forward to playing my first game."
