Creative midfielder looks ahead to Owls clashWES Hoolahan wants to keep the good times rolling when Norwich City host Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday (5:30pm).
The Canaries began the 2016-17 campaign with a 4-1 win at Blackburn Rovers last time out, with their first outing at Carrow Road seeing them face last season's beaten play-off finalists.
Speaking to the media at Colney on Friday lunchtime, Hoolahan said: "The boys have been buzzing because it was a great start to the season.
"Hopefully we can continue that against Sheffield Wednesday. They got a good win against Aston Villa in their first game so will be confident.
"The fans will have been looking forward to this game so everyone is up for it. We want to put in a good performance which will hopefully get us the points we need.
"We want to get back to the Premier League and hopefully we can achieve that."
The Republic of Ireland international starred for his country at Euro 2016 over the summer, earning a new two-year contract with the Canaries before kick-starting his season by netting at Ewood Park.
"I've been scoring and creating goals, so my form is good," the 34-year-old added.
"To play on the biggest stage of all and do well was a great experience. It was a great summer, and it was great for Norwich City too.
"Once they offered me a new deal there was one option for me as my time here has been fantastic. It's a great club to be at.
"I've had eight years here, which have flown by. I'm looking forward to the next two now."
