Oakwell return for City boss
The Canaries produced a superb performance against the Bees to bring an abrupt end to a run of five consecutive league defeats, beginning the month of December in ideal fashion.
With a hectic festive schedule ahead, finding a run of form this month could prove vital, and Neil told Norwich City TV: "We’d been looking for a performance like that for the majority of the season.
"We’ll go into Saturday a lot more confident now and believing in what we want to do. We’ve won one game though, so nobody is getting carried away.
"It was an important win but now we have to perform again at Barnsley."
Neil, who represented the Tykes as a player for four seasons from 2000, appreciates the qualities the Yorkshire outfit have but knows his side are capable of taking all three points from the contest.
"They’re an industrious team who get about the pitch and have some good, young players," the 35-year-old outlined.
