MINUTE'S SILENCE TO BE HELD BEFORE BRENTFORD

1 December 2016

Both teams also set to wear black armbands

A MINUTE’S silence will be held before Norwich City’s Sky Bet Championship game with Brentford on Saturday (3pm) in memory of all those killed in the recent Colombian air disaster.

The aircraft, which was carrying 77 people, crashed into a mountainside near the city of Medellin on Monday evening, with only six people on board surviving.

Among those travelling on the plane were staff and players from Brazilian football team Chapecoense, as well as numerous journalists and flight crew.

Norwich City Football Club would like to pass its condolences on to all those affected by the tragedy and asks for supporters of both clubs to join the pre-match show of respect for those who lost their lives.

As a further mark of respect, players from both City and Brentford will also wear black armbands for the game.
