Forward strikes to give City all three points
NORWICH City must quickly switch their attention to Friday night after securing a fine 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday evening, says match-winner Nelson Oliveira. The Portuguese international netted superbly just after the hour-mark to give City all three points at Carrow Road as they bounced back from a weekend defeat at Barnsley.
Speaking to Norwich City TV after the game, with a clash against Huddersfield on the horizon, Oliveira said: "We are happy because we feel that we deserved to win the game.
Â
Oliveira has now hit the target in each of the Canaries' past three matches with a series of eye-catching efforts, suggesting he is growing into his surroundings in Norfolk.
"It’s always good to score, as a striker," the 25-year-old added.
"When I took the ball I saw the defender in front of the goalkeeper and I tried to put it slowly into the corner. The most important thing is the team; we all played well, not only me.
"I feel better now as when I first came I needed to adapt. I’ve always felt welcome, everyone has helped me and now I’ve started scoring goals.
