Canaries looking to build on victory over BrentfordIVO Pinto is happy to be back involved at Norwich City, after returned to the side for last weekend's thumping win over Brentford at Carrow Road.
Having missed a number of matches with a groin injury, the Portguese right-back's return to fitness came at an important time for the Canaries who were enduring a testing run of form.
"I wanted to help the team in recent weeks but couldn't," Pinto told the media at Colney Training Centre on Friday afternoon.
"After six or seven weeks of being injured, you never really know if you will be totally ready. To be back in the team, and to win, was good.
"When you have as many players as possible available to play it is always better for the team. In football, when things go wrong, it can be hard to get back on track.
"That's what happened to us but we've put things behind us now. We won our last game and we want to build on that."
City boast an impressive record against Barnsley, winning nine of their last 11 competitive meetings stretching back to August 2000.
Pinto is determined to extend that streak at Oakwell this weekend, and added: "It's important we keep winning to get back on track.
"We have to work hard, because if you don't you will have problems. We have to battle, have to fight and have to be friends on the pitch.
"Every game we will try to do our best to get the three points. Getting a clean sheet, and a result, last weekend was very important.
"Now, we just want to build on it."
