Young Canaries beaten by The Blues at Cobham

NORWICH City's Under-18s were beaten for the first time under David Wright on Saturday when league leaders Chelsea seeked revenge for their 5-4 defeat in the reverse fixture.

The hosts opened the scoring after 34 minutes when wideman Harvey St Clair slotted the ball into the bottom right corner and past Fergal Hale-Brown.

Moments before the half-time whistle, Conor Gallagher picked up a loose ball outside of the Canaries' box before replicating his teammate's finish and placing the ball into the same corner.

70 minutes in, The Blues went three goals ahead when midfielder Tariq Uwakwe fired the ball into the back of the net.

City skipper Owen Wallis claimed a consolation goal for the young Canaries when he poked the ball home from close range with five minutes left.

The Under-18s will look to get back to winning ways when they host Leicester in the new year.
