The latest squad news ahead of Saturday

NORWICH City could be set for a double boost ahead of Saturday's game at home to Brentford, with Ivo Pinto and Jonny Howson both in contention after recovering from their respective injuries.

Pinto has been sidelined since picking up a groin problem in the warm-up ahead of City's clash with Preston North End, while Howson's absence stretches back to the start of October having undergone ankle surgery.

Speaking exclusively to on Friday morning, City boss Alex Neil said: "Jonny's trained all week, so although he's going to be short of match fitness, he's looked fine.

"Ivo's in the same boat. When they're both in the team, we seem to have a much better points tally. Both of them have trained this week, and we'll make a decision on them."

There is more doubt over the availability of both Cameron Jerome and Alex Tettey, who each aggravated injuries in last weekend's loss at Derby County.

On Jerome, Neil added: "It's been a concern for the last couple of weeks. I wouldn't rule him out, but we're still having to do a bit of work on it.

"Alex felt his hip lock, which he had earlier in the season. That returned and he had to come off, and he's a doubt as well."

Louis Thompson is definitely out, while Neil is targeting Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy meeting with Swansea's Under-21s as an opportunity for long-term absentee Matt Jarvis.

"Matt's been training but he's been out for 28 weeks. We're more looking at Tuesday, there's a game then and he'll be looking to get involved in that."

Finally, Graham Dorrans and Martin Olsson are both available for selection once more having sat out at the iPro Stadium through suspension.
