Two games in quick succession for City youngsters
City are likely to field a youthful side against the Seagulls, with a number of players who are part of Huckerby's Under-16s group set to be involved.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk ahead of the Club's first Barclays Under-18s Premier League Final Stage game, Huckerby said: "It's going to be a little bit different as we're expecting Brighton to bring their full Under-18s squad.
"That makes it a good test for us, but we'll continue to do things the way we always do. A couple of the players I work with have already played at that level, or higher, which is good for them.
"Obviously the FA Youth Cup takes priority in terms of selection, but this is an opportunity for some of the younger ones to show what they can do."
The former Norwich winger, who took up a full-time position within the Academy last summer, added: "It's about them adapting to playing against bigger lads.
"As long as they move the ball well, then that shouldn't be too much of a problem. It's important the game doesn't become too much of a fight, but we have decent players ourselves.
"The Academy as a whole has taken this approach regularly across the season already. That's especially been the case with the Under-21s, with a lot of Under-18s stepping up to that level.
"It's a big part of what we're trying to do, because although you might not always get results it's great for development."
