"The players have reacted in a good way."CITY's latest youth prospects have taken no time to settle into the Under-21s group, according to coach Dmitri Halajko.
Ben Godfrey and Ebou Adams signed for the Canaries during the January transfer window from York City and Darford respectively before moving straight into the Development squad.
Speaking exclusively to canaries.co.uk, Halajko revealed that Godfrey and Adams' arrvials have helped everyone in the team to push on.
He said: "They've fitted into the group well and they've been training hard, and they're starting to get used to how things work. We're looking for them to keep progressing as they have done so far.
"It's great for everyone. When you get two new players into a group it always adds something for the players who are already there. It gives it a little bit of freshness."
Halajko is busy preparing his side for Wednesday's trip to Aldershot Town's Recreation Ground where they are set to face Chelsea in the Barclays Under-21s Premier League (7.05pm).
City, who lost 7-0 to an experienced Manchester United Under-21s side last time out, are in the middle of a testing run of matches but their coach is adamant that the high level of opposition will aid individual development.
"Any Chelsea team is always a hard team and they're doing well in the league," he commented. "They've got some good players and it will be another game at the top level that will challenge us. After this, we play Manchester City and Spurs.
"That's what we want to put our young players up against though - we're pitting our wits against the best, young players in the country."
On areas of improvement for his side, Halajko added: "We want to work out times in games where we can firm up and shore up a little bit. There were times where we were exposed against United, albeit against very good, world-class players.
"The players have reacted in a good way in terms of looking at themselves and what they can learn from it.
"No-one enjoys losing a game by that margin, but they've dusted themselves off and thought about what they can do better ready for the next game."
We will be joining the team on Wednesday night to provide coverage across our digital channels, with video highlights to follow on Norwich City TV.
