The latest squad news from Colney

ALEX Neil kept his cards close to his chest when asked about the likelihood of his new recruits featuring in Saturday's game against Liverpool (12.45pm).

City entertain the Merseysiders at the end of a week that has seen the Club complete the double signing of Timm Klose from Wolfsburg and Steven Naismith from Everton.

Neil told Norwich City TV: "We'll need to be careful about putting too many new players into the team at one time.

"Steven is used to playing in the Premier League so I don't think his transition is going to be too much of a problem. Timm hasn't trained for a couple of days, so I'll need to bear that in mind when I'm selecting the team."

The Canaries' boss is now satisfied with Ivo Pinto's sharpness and said he could play, adding: "Ivo is now at the stage where he looks as though he's ready to be involved. He'll be involved in the squad."

City's two definite absentees will be Gary O'Neil, who serves the second match of three-game suspension, and Andre Wisdom, with the defender ineligible to face his parent club.

On City's clean bill of health on the injury front, Neil commented: "We've had a good run with injuries all season. Our injury record is probably the best in the league.

"It certainly helps in giving us more available players to choose from."
