Youngster signs after successful trial period

CITY have added to their youth ranks with the permanent signing of attacking midfielder Diallang Jaiyesimi from Dulwich Hamlet on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Jaiyesimi joins as a second-year scholar for an undisclosed fee having originally been identified by the Academy's recruitment staff in September.

The 17-year-old has played in four matches while on trial with the Canaries' Under-18s this season, scoring against Arsenal in November and featuring in victories over West Ham United and Leicester City.

City have fought off competition from several other Premier League clubs to sign Jaiyesimi, who was captain of Dulwich's FA Youth Cup side this season while also making five appearances for their first-team.

He will link up with Graeme Murty's Under-18s on a full-time basis immediately.

The Club would to place on record its appreciation to Dulwich Hamlet and their first-team manager Gavin Rose for their professionalism during this process.
