HUGHES ON CITY
Mark Hughes is expecting a confident Norwich City side when Stoke City play hosts at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday (7.45pm).
"Norwich are a good team; they've won three of their last four so they're not doing badly," he told Stoke City Player HD in the build-up to the midweek fixture.
"They're probably coming here in better shape confidence-wise than just before Christmas.
"They played well against us early in the season and Jack (Butland) did well on the day. We know they've got capabilities but I fully expect us to have a positive result."
Arnautovic's current deal runs out next year and the Austria international has been a key component of Stoke's successes, contributing seven goals and three assists in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old was signed in September 2013 from Werder Bremen at the start of Mark Hughes' first season in charge at the Britannia Stadium.
He began his career at Dutch side FC Twente before moving on loan to Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan in 2009, but he failed to secure a permanent move to Italy and consequently signed for Bremen.
LAST TIME OUT
Stoke progressed into the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup by beating Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
The game saw Potters boss Mark Hughes pit his wits against his former Manchester United teammate Darren Ferguson, who has guided Rovers to 12th place in Sky Bet League One since taking over last October.
Former England striker Peter Crouch scored his second goal of the season to give Stoke the lead on the quarter-hour mark.
Nathan Tyson tapped home from close-range to equalise for Doncaster, but Jonathan Walters' excellent second half strike secured a 2-1 victory at the Keepmoat Stadium and safe passage for the away side.
