Rainbow flag to fly above Carrow Road

NORWICH City and its official Community Partner, Aviva, are proud to be supporting Norwich Pride this weekend.

The annual Pride will see a number of events take place in the city - a celebration from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community for everybody.

City's mascots Captain Canary and the Aviva Lemur will be taking part in the celebrations, ahead of Saturday's game against Hannover 96 (3pm).

The front of the matchday programme is set to display the Norwich Pride logo, with Aviva also handing over their stadium flag for the fixture, thus seeing the rainbow flag flying above Carrow road throughout the game.

Jan Gooding, Aviva Group  Brand Director: "It is fantastic to see two Norwich institutions coming together to get behind the Norwich Pride event, embracing equality and diversity, both on and off the pitch.

"We are proud that our association with Norwich City can help celebrate the LGBT inclusivity which both organisations fully endorse."
