CITY XI IN DULWICH HAMLET STALEMATE

13 July 2016

Friendly ends goalless at Champion Hill

A NORWICH City XI drew 0-0 with Dulwich Hamlet as the Canaries' Under-21s got their first run-out of pre-season.

The friendly, arranged as part of the deal which brought youngster Diallang Jaiyesimi to City from The Hamlet, was played in front of 652 supporters at Champion Hill.

Dulwich edged the first half but after Dmitri Halajko changed his entire 11 at the break, City improved in the second period - even though they couldn't find the elusive goal to break the deadlock.

Halajko's players are back in action on Friday night, when they face Dereham Town for the Invitation Cup at the Football Development Centre in Norwich (7pm).

NORWICH CITY FIRST HALF XI: Killip; Kamal, Efete, Wallis, Syme; Sambu, Adams; Da Costa, McIntosh, Lewis; Ashley-Seal.

NORWICH CITY SECOND HALF XI: Oxborough; Pollock, Ellesley, Odusina, Trialist; Grant, Aransibia; Jaiyesimi, Eaton-Collins, Middleton; Higgs.
