Defender in discussion with Norwich City TV in AustriaCITY are making positive progress this pre-season, according to young full-back Harry Toffolo.
The Canaries won both of their warm-up matches ahead of flying out to Austria on Sunday, where Toffolo took time out following training to speak to Norwich City TV.
"It's good to get out here," said the 20-year-old. "It's a change of scenery, you're away from your family so you're just focused on your job. You're fully focused on the football and it's really good to get away.
"The gaffer has got his philosophy and you've got to work by that. All the players are with it, so hopefully we can bounce back to the Premier League.
"It's 24/7. If we want to get back there, we need to have high standards and that started from day one in pre-season."
Alex Neil's side face two friendlies during their time in the Burgenland region, with FK Dukla Prague the opponents on Wednesday (6pm local time) followed by Rubin Kazan on Saturday (1pm local time).
Monday's session, the players' first on the grass since arriving from England, was mainly possession-based as Neil looked to give his team plenty of ball practise.
"We did a lot of running in the first couple of weeks of pre-season, but now the ball is out the boys are expressing themselves and getting back to the good stuff ready for the season," Toffolo explained.
"All the boys have come back really, really strong. There's quite a few players here now and places are up for grabs. There are several players here who could play in each position, so you've got to show what you can do.
"I feel at a really good level; you've done your running and you've got that as a base, now it's about doing the bigger possessions and small-sided games.
"My target is to get in the manager's thoughts, and to give him a dilemma when it comes to selection. All I can do is work my hardest, and the rest will take care of itself."
