Dutch striker leaves Canaries

NORWICH City can confirm striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel has completed a transfer to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for an undisclosed fee, subject to the approval of the relevant footballing authorities.

Joining from Sporting Lisbon for a Club-record fee in July 2013, van Wolfswinkel made a promising start to life at Carrow Road by scoring on his Barclays Premier League debut against Everton.

However, he subsequently found goals hard to come by in England, and spent much of the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons on loan at St Etienne and Real Betis respectively.

In total he made 28 appearances for City in all competitions, scoring twice. The Club would like to wish Ricky all the best with his future career.
