City set to visit Ewood Park on opening day

NORWICH City will start the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, August 6 (3pm).

The Canaries' last visit to Ewood Park ended in a 2-1 victory in February 25, 2015, with Cameron Jerome and Bradley Johnson on target in a dramatic win for Alex Neil's side.

That result successfully completed a league double for City, who defeated Rovers 3-1 in the early stages of the 2014-15 Sky Bet Championship season.

Blackburn finished last season 15th, and appointed Owen Coyle as manager earlier this summer following the departure of previous boss Paul Lambert.

In total, City have won 11 and drawn 11 of their 41 matches played against Blackburn in all competitions throughout history.

Please note, dates and times of matches listed in the draft fixture list are subject to change.
