Alex Neil’s Canaries will host the 2. Bundesliga side in the last of their seven warm-up matches for the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
City’s plans, which include a seven-day training camp in Austria, were confirmed last month.
Hannover, who appointed former player Daniel Stendel as head coach in April, were relegated from the Bundesliga at the end of last season after 14 consecutive years in Germany’s top flight.
Norwich will start their Sky Bet Championship campaign a week after the match, with their first opponents back in English football’s second tier to be revealed on Wednesday, June 22 when the full league programme of fixtures are released.
