Our rundown of the City players away with their countries

ELEVEN Norwich City senior players have joined up with their countries for March's round of international fixtures.

Wes Hoolahan and Robbie Brady are with the Republic of Ireland for their two friendlies over the next week.

Martin O'Neill's side, who will play at this summer's European Championships in France, take on Switzerland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Friday, March 25 (7.45pm) before facing Slovakia at the same venue on Tuesday, March 29 (7.45pm).

Last weekend was a good one for Brady - the 24-year-old netted the Canaries' winner against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and then picked up Ireland's Young International Player of the Year award on Sunday.

The pair could come up against club teammate Timm Klose, with the in-form defender having been selected in Switzerland's squad for Friday's match and their second friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina in Zurich on Tuesday (7.30pm).

Scotland are also in action with a friendly double-header of their own, and Gordon Strachan has selected a squad for each game against the Czech Republic in Prague on Thursday, March 24 (7.45pm) and Denmark at Hampden Park on Tuesday (8pm).

City skipper Russell Martin is in line to feature against the Czechs, with Steven Whittaker in the squad to play Denmark.

Northern Ireland's Euros preparations begin with a friendly against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday (7.45pm) prior to them facing Slovenia in Belfast on Monday, March 28 (7.45pm).

Kyle Lafferty (on loan at Birmingham City), their leading scorer in the memorable qualifying campaign, is available to play in both matches.

Sweden are in action too, with Martin Olsson in the picture for their friendlies away to Turkey on Thursday (6.45pm) and at home to the Czech Republic on Tuesday (7.30pm).

Further afield, defender Sebastien Bassong is with Cameroon as they prepare for two African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa.

The first game takes place in Limbe, Cameroon on Saturday, March 26 (2.30pm), with the return fixture on Tuesday at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium (6pm).

Also looking to make next year's tournament are the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Dieumerci Mbokani is with them for their matches against Angola in Kinshasa on Saturday (2.30pm) and in Luanda on Tuesday (4pm).

In England's development ranks, James Maddison (on loan at Coventry City) and Harry Toffolo (on loan at Peterborough United) could represent the Under-20s in their match-up with Canada at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday, March 27 (4pm).
