Young Lions make it three out of three

NATHAN Redmond scored for the second successive game as England's Under-21s stormed to another convincing victory at the Toulon Tournament.

City winger Redmond, who rattled home from 30 yards in Monday's 7-1 rout of Guinea, netted the young Lions' final goal in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Paraguay Under-23s in Six-Fours-les-Plages.

Lewis Baker put Gareth Southgate's side in front on 33 minutes before Ruben Loftus-Cheek added another moments after the restart.

Loftus-Cheek made it 3-0 before Redmond's goal, which came when the 22-year-old drove forward into Paraguay's penalty area before finishing calmly into the right corner.

England have now won all three of their group matches at the tournament in southern France, and if they avoid defeat in Friday's game against Japan Under-23s (4.15pm) they will book their spot in Sunday's final.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Youssouf Mulumbu wasn't involved for DR Congo in their 1-1 friendly draw with Romania in Como, Italy.
