DECLAN Rudd continued his run of appearances in goal for Charlton Athletic on Saturday as the Addicks went down 3-0 at Swindon Town in Sky Bet League One.

A deflected effort from Sean Murray shortly before the break put the hosts in front, before Lloyd Jones doubled the advantage early in the second half.

Jon Goddard then netted late on to complete the scoring, leaving Charlton in 15th place having not won away from home in the league since August.

One team enjoying a better time of it at present are Scunthorpe United, who remained clear at the top of the division by securing a 1-0 victory away to Coventry City.

Josh Morris' second half strike settled the contest, although defender Harry Toffolo didn't feature in the Iron's matchday squad.

In Scotland, Dundee United progressed to the Scottish Challenge Cup semi-final with a 1-0 win at Dunfermline.

Mark Durnan scored the only goal inside the opening ten minutes, with City's Tony Andreu not involved for the away side.

James Maddison's Aberdeen weren't in action due to the international break, with the same applying to Hamilton Academical - their goalkeeper Remi Matthews still recovering from a shoulder injury.
