Canaries beaten at the iPro StadiumNORWICH City's 1-0 Sky Bet Championship defeat at Derby County illustrated the side's current misfortunes, according to defender Sebastien Bassong.
A generally even contest was settled by former City player Bradley Johnson's deflected strike beating John Ruddy in the second half, extending the Canaries' poor run of form.
Speaking to Norwich City TV after the game, Bassong said: "We're disappointed.
"Overall, the performance was good. When you come off a defeat you can't always say that, we just couldn't get the goal.
"We created chances and throughout the game we were solid. We were a bit unlucky and that's what happens when you're on a bad run.
"You can always do more but a lot of is down to that."
Bassong backed his team to get out of their current rut, and added: "The season is long, especially in the Championship.
"This isn't the form people were expecting us to have, or we were expecting. We are trying to fix that.
"I'm sure sooner rather than later things will turn around. We owe ourselves better results.
"The manager is not on his own. We are all together and we are giving everything we have."
