Toffolo also in action at the weekend

TONY Andreu hit the only goal as Dundee United progressed in the Scottish Challenge Cup with victory over Stranraer on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder, on loan at Tannadice from the Canaries, struck to ensure United came out on top in their Fourth Round clash at Stair Park.

Andreu's 68th-minute header was his sixth goal for the club since moving north of the border at the end of August.

In Sky Bet League One, Harry Toffolo completed 90 minutes for high-flying Scunthorpe United, who were forced to settle for a point from their meeting with Northampton Town at Glanford Park.

Josh Morris scored his 12th league effort of the campaign to put the division's pacesetters in front, but Jak McCourt's goal 16 minutes from time meant the spoils were shared.

Declan Rudd (Charlton Athletic) and James Maddison (Aberdeen) had a weekend off because of the international schedule, while Remi Matthews (Hamilton Academical) could be absent for up to three months with a shoulder injury.
