It's six wins out of seven for Alex Neil's side

AS the Sky Bet Championship schedule breaks for the weekend, we look back at a fine spell for the Canaries since the last round of internationals

NORWICH CITY 3-2 CARDIFF CITY

The Canaries clinched their third win of the league season by beating Cardiff City 3-2.

NORWICH CITY 2-1 WIGAN ATHLETIC
September 13
League position after: 4th

City held off a resurgent Wigan Athletic to win 2-1 in their Sky Bet Championship meeting at Carrow Road.

Jacob Murphy's early double had Alex Neil's side in command of the contest, with the opener coming after just three minutes.

The failure to add game-settling third nearly caught them out, however, as Jordi Gomez scored to set up a frantic finale - but despite testing the nerves of their supporters they held on for maximum points for the second time in four days.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1-2 NORWICH CITY
September 17
League position after: 2nd

Alex Neil hailed the character of his players after they came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the City Ground.

Apostolos Vellios' strike five minutes before half-time put the hosts ahead after Wes Hoolahan had seen a penalty saved, but Jonny Howson and Graham Dorrans scored after the break to earn the maximum points the Canaries deserved.

Neil was full of praise for his charges when speaking to Norwich City TV after the final whistle, saying: "I think it was probably the most complete performance from us."

EVERTON 0-2 NORWICH CITY
September 20
EFL Cup status: Into the last 16

Steven Naismith struck against his former side as Norwich City progressed to the fourth round of the EFL Cup with a 2-0 win at Premier League outfit Everton.

Latching onto an intelligent flick from debutant forward Nelson Oliveira, Naismith moved clear of his marker before lifting beyond Maarten Stekelenburg on 42 minutes.

Resilient defending preserved the Canaries' lead, and they deservedly struck what would be a decisive blow just over 15 minutes from time when Josh Murphy netted in style.

NEWCASTLE UNITED 4-3 NORWICH CITY
September 28
League position after: 2nd

Cameron Jerome said Norwich City must share responsibility for the circumstances which saw them beaten 4-3 at Newcastle United.

City had held a 3-2 lead going into injury-time, only for two quick-fire United goals in the final moments to turn the game on its head.

Speaking to Norwich City TV afterwards, the forward said: "Collectively as a team it’s not good enough."

WOLVES 1-2 NORWICH CITY
October 1
League position after: 2nd

City got straight back to winning ways as they held on to beat Wolves 2-1 at Molineux.

The Canaries made the perfect start when after just two minutes Cameron Jerome nodded Wes Hoolahan's pinpoint cross past Carl Ikeme to fire his team out of the blocks.

Robbie Brady's stunning second half strike gave Alex Neil's men a cushion, and they secured the three points despite Dave Edwards' header ten minutes from time.
