We were delighted earlier this week to announce the news that Take That would be the latest of a string of top acts from the UK music industry to perform at Carrow Road.

More than 30,000 people will fill the stadium on Friday, June 16 to welcome Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald for the final concert of their UK Wonderland Tour, with All Saints as support.

In recent years Carrow Road has been thrilled to host the likes of Elton John in 2005, George Michael in 2007, JLS and Olly Murs in 2011, and Rod Stewart who has performed twice back in 2011 and most recently last June.

City’s Commercial Director Ben Kensell said the Club was thrilled to welcome Take That for a concert which underlines Carrow Road’s status as a major and flexible entertainment venue in the east of England.

He commented: "We’re absolutely delighted and excited to be hosting Take That in Norwich for what I’m sure will be a fantastic and memorable night for everybody who attends.

"We’ve worked really hard to land this concert and bring one of the music industry’s biggest and most entertaining acts to Norfolk.

"Carrow Road is an exciting and flexible venue not just for football as the proud home of the Canaries, but also for huge concerts, gala evening events with major celebrities, conferences and a whole lot more.

"This is a lucrative concert for us and it’s absolutely vital that our great stadium has a busy and active life that extends well beyond the passion and excitement of a match day – and Take That coming to perform here is a brilliant example of that."
