Boss sets the scene for Burton clash

CITY will need to match Burton Albion's desire if they are to make it five wins in a row this Saturday (3pm).

The Canaries could go top of the Sky Bet Championship table with a victory from their first ever meeting with the Brewers, but Neil knows they will have to work hard for the three points.

Nigel Clough's men have held their own in the second tier so far after back-to-back promotions, and City's manager said: "They've done great, they've only lost one of their last six.

"They've scored in every league game so far apart from the one against Brighton, so it's not going to be an easy game.

"We're going to have to win the battle first and foremost, because if you don't it's going to be a tough game.

"Nigel knows how he wants his team to play, and their boys are buying into it. They're enjoying life in the Championship at the moment, but we've got our own agenda and want another three points."

Neil says he will be looking to match the quality that saw his team come from behind to beat Nottingham Forest a week ago before the 2-0 victory at Everton in the EFL Cup.

"Our performance levels were excellent and that's something we're looking to build towards," he added.

"There were games that we'd won but we weren't convincing really, against Wigan and Cardiff. The lasting effect was that we were hanging on at the end.

"The Forest game was completely different, where we looked really fit and strong. Games, momentum and players getting minutes in their legs is really important."
