The latest squad news ahead of Tuesday

ALEX Neil says Robbie Brady is a 'major doubt' for the Wigan Athletic game - but revealed Martin Olsson will be fit to fill in at left-back.

Brady was taken off after just 12 minutes of Saturday's win over Cardiff City after picking up a quad injury, but Neil was happy to reveal that the Republic of Ireland international's issue isn't as serious as initially feared.

"He's a major doubt for tomorrow, but it's that much better now that he could potentially be in contention. He's a lot better than we thought, which is really positive news," Neil told Norwich City TV on Monday.

"On Sunday, we had some concerns over him, but it was mainly where he got the knock rather than the extent of the knock. I think it was just a little bit of nerve damage, it seems to have settled down really quickly.

"Martin will be fine. He was targeted for this game anyway, he's been training with the squad for the best part of a week and a half and he'll be ok."

After Ivo Pinto, Cameron Jerome, Alex Pritchard and John Ruddy all returned the squad at the weekend, Neil said this game will still come too soon for Nelson Oliveira while Matt Jarvis continues his recovery from knee surgery in the summer.

City's boss admits selection choices can be difficult with many players eager for opportunities, adding: "It's always tough when you've got a good squad with players who are all dying to be involved. It's hard to leave anybody out."
