The latest squad news ahead of Tuesday

NELSON Oliveira could be in line for his first Norwich City appearance when the Canaries visit Everton in round three of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

The Portugal international is yet to make his bow for the Club after signing from Benfica last month, but has been building his fitness up in training.

"He'll be in the squad," City boss Alex Neil confirmed to the media on Monday lunchtime.

"Technically he's very good with both his right and left foot. He can strike a ball from distance as well as hold it up, so that's the kind of thing I would expect from him."

Neil hinted he may rotate his squad for the game on Merseyside, but said it was important to strike a balance in order to maintain the momentum brought by three consecutive league wins.

"We'll be going with a team I think is going to be competitive and that can hopefully get a result," he added.

"I'm not going to send some kids out that will be lambs to the slaughter, that's not going to be the case. However, that doesn't mean some of the younger lads won't be involved."

Alex Tettey remains a doubt with a hip injury while Matt Jarvis is a definite absentee as he continues his recovery from a knee problem.
