Successful season-closing event held last week

A message from the Norwich City Fans' Social Club:

"Delia Smith joined in a fun game of Jenga against fans, along with other members of the board, at the Norwich City Fans' Social Club season-closing get-together on Thursday.

One particularly epic round saw local reporter Michael Bailey, Tales of the City author Mick Dennis, Director of Commercial Ben Kensell and City Director Tom Smith battle it out with the fans’ team to take the honours.

A great night was had by all who attended the free event, with a surprise appearance made by Sporting Director Stuart Webber who looked relaxed as he chatted to fans at a very informal evening to celebrate another successful year for the social club.

After another great year of events – including our players’ forum with favourites Ivo Pinto, Jonny Howson and Jacob Murphy, a charity quiz night, football pundits’ session, Canary Legends evening and a Q&A with Managing Director Steve Stone – we’re looking forward even more to next year’s events.

Along the way, this season we’ve raised £4000 for the Community Sports Foundation and can’t wait to see how our local footballers with learning difficulties are going to do at the National Special Olympics in the summer – a trip the social club paid for with last season’s donations.

Do you want to see more interesting events for a bargain £3 per event next season? Look out for what we’ve got planned or suggest an event for us to organise.
