City youngster Ben Godfrey has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan.
Godfrey, 19, will join the League One outfit until January. He is the third Canary to head out on loan to Shrewsbury, following Ebou Adams and Carlton Morris.
Godfrey was signed by the Canaries from York City in January 2016 and made his Canaries debut last season in the EFL Cup when he came off the bench to score with a spectacular long-range strike against Coventry City in August. In January he came on as a substitute in Norwich’s win over Birmingham City to make his league debut for Norwich.
He made a further Championship appearance from the bench in the last game of the season against QPR, and was also heavily involved in City’s pre-season matches this summer. This month Godfrey signed a new four-year deal with the Canaries, keeping him at the Club until the summer of 2021.
Everyone at Norwich City would like to wish Ben the best of luck at Shrewsbury.
