Ivo Pinto says he is nearing full fitness after a stop-start to life under the management of Daniel Farke.
The right-back missed the bulk of pre-season through injury, with a further minor setback stalling his progress as he looked to return.
However, after completing 90 minutes against Charlton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, Pinto feels his match-sharpness coming back.
"At the moment I'm feeling good and feeling like my fitness is coming back. I just want to keep working and keep doing well.
"After the international break, I'll be better with my fitness. For now though, I feel like I can start helping the team.
"We are working every day to improve ourselves. We want to make Norwich a better team and a better club."
In what is effectively a transitional period for the Canaries, Pinto expressed his gratitude for the support already shown by the fans.
"We feel like they are giving us time," he explained.
"If the fans are happy, than I'm happy. They deserve everything.
"Everyone knew before the season that changes would be made. We have a new way of playing and need time.
"If we're given that, we know we can achieve things. We want to win games from the beginning, of course, but patience is important."
