Daniel Farke hopes to have defender Ivo Pinto available for Norwich City's Sky Bet Championship game at Aston Villa on Saturday.
The right-back started his first league game of the season on Wednesday evening against QPR, but was taken off early as a precautionary measure.
"It's not too bad and quite normal," Farke told the media on Friday afternoon.
"His muscle got a bit tired after 60 minutes and he got cramp. We had to substitute him but I won't go too deep with it.
"After the international break he will be 100 per cent. It's important for him to get minutes but we have to be careful with him.
"We have to wait a little bit but I think he can travel with us."
City will definitely be without Timm Klose, although the Switzerland international is moving closer to a return.
"We expect him in the team training next week," the Head Coach explained.
"It looks good and hopefully he can return, then he will need some days. We have to wait a little bit."
There was less positive news about youngster Jamal Lewis, who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
"Jamal has had a small operation and we will have to do without him for the next four months," said Farke.
"It's sad for us and sad for him as he was brilliant in pre-season. We're looking forward to having him back, hopefully in early 2018."
Harry Toffolo also remains unavailable for the game at Villa Park, with Louis Thompson a longer-term absentee.
Midfielder Tom Trybull is in the process of building his fitness levels after recently completing his free transfer to the Canaries, while Farke considers Marco Stiepermann 'a possibility' for his starting XI.
