City to face Chelsea in FA Cup

4 December 2017

Norwich City have been drawn to face Premier League champions Chelsea in the third round of The Emirates FA Cup.

Farke’s men will host Antonio Conte’s side at Carrow Road on the weekend of January 5-8.

"To be honest the Cup is far away at the moment and we are more desperate to have a win in the league than to think about the FA Cup," said Farke. "But for sure it is one of the toughest draws you can get.

"We are happy to have such an interesting game for our fans. And we have got the feeling we deserve it because of our brilliant performances in the Carabao Cup.

"We will try to go on with our Cup form and get the best result we can get in this game."

City last faced Chelsea at home in the FA Cup in January 2002, when the Canaries held them to a 0-0 draw in the third round before going down 4-0 in the replay at Stamford Bridge.

Fixture and ticketing details will be announced in due course.
