City goalkeeper Remi Matthews will return to Plymouth Argyle on an initial seven-day emergency loan.
Following the end of the emergency loan on January 1, Matthews will then begin a standard six-month loan to the Pilgrims until May 31.
Matthews joined Sky Bet League One Plymouth on loan on an emergency week-to-week basis in October because their three professional goalkeepers were all injured. Matthews kept four clean sheets in seven appearances, before he too suffered ankle ligament damage and was ruled out. He returned to Norwich, where he has recovered from his injury.
Matthews, a product of City’s Academy, signed a new deal in October until the summer of 2018, with an option in the Club’s favour.
