Timm Klose: We have to dig deep

8 December 2017

Timm Klose says Norwich City must 'dig deep' in order to turn the corner when they host Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday (5:30pm).

Daniel Farke's side are currently on a poor run of form, and haven't tasted victory at Carrow Road since September.

Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, Klose said: "When things are going against you, you have to work harder.

"You have to go out and fight, fight, fight. We have to find the balance between playing our style and digging deep.

"You have to accept the battles on the pitch. We've done it before so we just need to do it again.

"The Head Coach has a calm way and it's a good way. We're hungry to win and turn things around."

Klose wants to lead from the front as a senior figure within City's squad, lending his experience to the younger players.

"It's about being a positive leader in a negative period," he explained.

"These are the moments where you need the fans. They have been amazing this season so far and it's important they still stand behind us.

"If I make a mistake and the fans boo me, that's fine. In Germany I made a mistake in the 91st minute, we lost and I was booed off the pitch.

"I know what it means. I've experienced it. For the young players, they need the support because things can happen in a game."
