Boss speaks ahead of City's first ever trip to the Pirelli

ALEX Neil knows his Norwich City team will be in for a battle when they take on Burton Albion on Saturday (3pm).

Nigel Clough's Sky Bet Championship debutants are fighting to stay away from the relegation places following their 4-1 reverse at Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

Previewing the match with Norwich City TV, Neil said: "It will be a difficult one. They're a team that's going to be scrapping for every point they can get.

"They have a squad which works incredibly hard and they make it difficult for you. They managed to beat Wolves there recently.

"They create that siege mentality, which you can do at the smaller grounds. Their fans get right behind them and based on the budget they've got, they've done extremely well.

"We're going to have to do the physical side of the game well and hopefully our quality can come through."

City's midweek draw at home to league leaders Newcastle United left four points away from the top six, with Sheffield Wednesday also holding a game in hand above them.

Neil believes his side need to be relentless in their accumulation of points if they're to push themselves into contention.

"We can't give up any opportunities to close the gap between us and the team above us," he added.

"If they win, we need to win and if they lose, we need to win because we need to close it.

"We need to win every game and this game is massive for us."
