Playmaker nets double in thumping victoryNORWICH City must follow-up Saturday's demolition of Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road with another Sky Bet Championship victory in midweek.
That's the message delivered by Alex Pritchard, who notched twice as the Canaries hit five in a scintillating performance which saw them breeze past The Reds.
Speaking to Norwich City after the match, the 23-year-old said: "We knew it was a big game after the Sheffield Wednesday result last night.
"We started really sharply and got the three goals and it led from there really. With the players we've got, we know we can do that we just have to work hard.
"It wasn't just short passes, we mixed it up when we had to. We were on it from the word go and were hungry so came out as deserved winners.
"We've got a massive game on Tuesday night against Newcastle. We've got to go and win it, simple."
The result lifted Alex Neil's side back to within touching distance of the play-offs, having gradually emerged from a winter slump during an impressive start to 2017.
With work to do in order to enhance City's promotion hopes, Pritchard added: "It's our own fault and we've got to get ourselves out of it.
"We can only blame ourselves for that but hopefully we can put it right. With a few wins we can do that.
"For myself, it's not always easy coming to a new team and settling in. It's taken a bit of time and I've just got to keep working hard."
