Trio of City players in action

CHARLTON Athletic extended their unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One on Saturday despite conceding late on during a 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town.

Leading through Ricky Holmes' 37th minute strike until injury-time, The Addicks were denied all three points when Amari Bell fired home.

Goalkeeper Declan Rudd made a number of fine saves during the match, with Charlton having now avoided defeat in their last six league games.

Elsewhere in the same division, Scunthorpe United lost their place at the top after slipping to a 3-1 defeat at Southend United.

The Iron had gone in front through Murray Wallace early on, before Marc-Antoine Fortune levelled on 39 minutes.

Simon Cox and Ryan Leonard then struck to take the game away from Scunthorpe, with the visitors seeing Neal Bishop dismissed five minutes from time.

Harry Toffolo played the full match for the away side who are next in action when they host Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.

Over the border, Tony Andreu was on target as Dundee United cruised to a 3-0 Scottish Championship victory over Raith Rovers.

United went in front just before the interval through Thomas Mikkelsen, before Andreu netted early in the second period to double the advantage.

Another effort from Mikkelsen on 53 minutes completed a flurry of scoring, further consolidating The Tangerines' position in second behind leaders Hibernian.

Meanwhile, Remi Matthews was an unused substitute for Hamilton Academical as they drew 1-1 at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

Finally, Carlton Morris is yet to make his Rotherham United debut after completing a deadline day move due to currently being sidelined with a minor hamstring issue.
