Our review of the weekend action

DECLAN Rudd started for Charlton Athletic in Sky Bet League One on Saturday as The Addicks fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Bury.

Ryan Lowe's goal in the 21st minute settled the contest, leaving Charlton firmly rooted in midtable as the season heads towards its conclusion.

Elsewhere in the division, Harry Toffolo missed out on a place in the Scunthorpe United squad through suspension as The Iron came from behind to draw 1-1 at Bristol Rovers.

Ollie Clarke struck first for the home side, with the visitors earning a share of the spoils courtesy of an own goal from Rovers captain Tom Lockyer.

In the National League, Ray Grant remained on the bench as Dagenham & Redbridge secured a late victory over Bromley to remain in second behind FA Cup quarter-finalists Lincoln City.

The Daggers had fallen behind to Brandon Hanlan's early strike, but levelled before the break through Fejiri Okenabirhie.

With time ticking down, Jake Sheppard netted on 88 minutes to complete the turnaround, ensuring his side collected a valuable three points.

Over the border, Remi Matthews was an unused substitute as Moussa Dembele's double saw Hamilton Academical fall to a 2-0 Scottish Premiership defeat at Celtic.

A level further down, Tony Andreu played 90 minutes in the Scottish Championship as Dundee United were held to a 1-1 draw by Greenock Morton.

Lee Kilday's goal six minutes before the interval put Morton in front, only for fellow defender Mark Durnan to level late on for the hosts.

Finally, Carlton Morris is yet to make his first appearance for Rotherham United after completing a deadline day move due to currently being sidelined with a minor hamstring issue.
