The latest squad news ahead of Saturday

ALEX Neil says the injuries in his squad are continuing to stack up ahead of Saturday's trip to Burton Albion (3pm).

He told Norwich City TV: "The injury list isn't looking any better, which is disappointing. If anything it might be added to. We've got another couple that might be struggling but we just need to crack on with it."

Neil said after Tuesday's draw with Newcastle United that Ivo Pinto would be 'touch and go' for the game at the Pirelli Stadium, but it appears unlikely that the full-back will make a return this weekend.

"He looks as if he's going to struggle. Steven Naismith is still out and Youssouf Mulumbu is still struggling," City's boss added.

Nelson Oliveira was sidelined in midweek with a foot injury and when pressed for more detail, Neil revealed: "It's going to be about four to six weeks, depending on the severity of it."

There was a more positive update on James Maddison (back), however, with the midfielder set to be part of the group against Nigel Clough's Brewers.

"James is back training and is in the squad, which is pleasing. We need him in the squad because we're running out of numbers."

Graham Dorrans (knee) and Matt Jarvis (hamstring) are still out while Louis Thompson is a long-term absentee after undergoing Achilles surgery in January.
