The latest squad news ahead of Saturday

SATURDAY's game against Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road comes too soon for Steven Naismith, who is still overcoming a hamstring issue.

The forward last featured in the 2-0 win over Birmingham City last month, missing the two away games in Cardiff and Wigan.

Fellow Scot Graham Dorrans (knee) is also still sidelined but Neil, speaking to Norwich City TV, was positive about his recovery.

He said: "(It's) very good. He's out on the grass doing running, so Graham now is at a stage where he's building up his fitness levels but he's still a few weeks away."

Alex Tettey serves the second game of his two-match ban for collecting ten yellow cards, so Youssouf Mulumbu is expected to deputise again even though he's still shaking off a thigh problem.

"To be fair, he's not done a huge amount. He went away to the Africa Cup of Nations but he didn't play a lot of the games there because he had a thigh problem," Neil added.

"He battled really well for us the other night and he's going to have to go again."

James Maddison is out with a back injury and Louis Thompson is a long-term absentee for Neil after undergoing Achilles surgery in January.
