Back our young Canaries at Carrow Road!

TODD Cantwell has one message for Norwich City fans ahead of the Development Squad's Premier League International Cup quarter-final on Monday - 'come and support us'.

The Canaries host Dinamo Zagreb boasting the only 100 per cent record in the competition this term, with three victories taking them through to the knockout stages for the first time in the Club's history at a canter.

Tickets for the game are FREE to all supporters, and Cantwell exclusively told "We get fantastic support at Norwich City throughout all the teams and we'd love to that again on Monday.

"If you're able to come, it'd be massively appreciated; not just by the players but by the club too. It would be great to have as many fans there as possible because it's one of our biggest games.

"It's a good opportunity for us as a club and we're looking to kick on. It's important do do well in every competition, but in an international one you want to represent your club and country well.

"Playing teams from abroad gives us a different challenge and it's one we all embrace. We'll stick to what we want to do in the game because it's important we get the best out of ourselves."

Cantwell points to his own experiences in the FA Youth Cup as an example of the difference home backing can have, after seeing it for himself first-hand last season.

The midfielder formed part of the Under-18s side which dramatically defeated Middlesbrough having been 4-1 down, with the Carrow Road support playing a key role in dragging the youngsters back into the tie.

"In games like that, the fans really picked us up," he explained.

"When we got the second goal there was a real belief around the stadium, not just within the team, that we could get back into it. It's really important knowing we have that support to lift us.

"If we win the game then we know we can go onto even better things. It's a good opportunity for us as a club and we're looking to kick on."

Continuing City's initiative from the previous two campaigns, entry will once again be free for all supporters. Tickets can be claimed online HERE, by calling 0844 826 1902 or in any of the three Canaries Official stores.

Fans arriving on the night without pre-booked tickets are advised to turn up early.
