Young winger pens contract until summer of 2019NORWICH City youngster Glenn Middleton has signed a two-and-a-half year professional contract with the club, penning terms on his 17th birthday.
The Scotland youth international, who has represented the Club's Development Squad regularly over the course of the last 18 months, is now set to remain with City until at least the summer of 2019.
Speaking exclusively to canaries.co.uk, Middleton said: "It's nice to get recognition for the hard work I've put in so far.
"I've always had help over the years to get to this stage and hopefully I can build on that now. Playing for the Development Squad has given me extra experience, which I've looked to take things from.
"Towards the end of matches you've got to manage things in a different way. I've tried to lead by example and look to help others out on the pitch as much as possible.
"I just want to improve myself as much as I can and see where it takes me."
The winger currently forms part of David Wright's Under-18s squad, and is likely to be involved in their upcoming FA Youth Cup fourth round tie at Burnley.
Middleton relishes playing in such competitions, and added: "We've got a really good team this year so we've got a decent chance.
"We're going to give it our best shot. Off the pitch we're all really good mates as well, so we're always going to be fighting for each other.
"That's the best thing about it. We'll see how far we can get because it's something you look forward to even from the start of the season.
"Everyone talks about it straight away so we can't wait for the game."
