4 January 2017

Turf Moor test awaits for young Canaries

TOGETHERNESS is the key for Norwich City's Under-18s when they travel to Burnley in the FA Youth Cup fourth round on Friday (7pm), according to winger Glenn Middleton.

David Wright's youngsters put in a highly impressive display in the previous round, Middleton forming part of the side which earned a convincing 5-1 win at Watford .

Having recently signed a two-and-a-half year professional contract on his 17th birthday, the Scotland youth international is now targeting an extended run in the competition.

"We've got a really good team this year so we've got a decent chance," he told canaries.co.uk.

"We're going to give it our best shot. Off the pitch we're all really good mates as well, so we're always going to be fighting for each other.

"That's the best thing about it. We'll see how far we can get because it's something you look forward to even from the start of the season.

"Everyone talks about it straight away so we can't wait for the game."
