Norwich City have signed two international players as first-year scholars to the Academy.
Icelandic U16 international Isak Thorvaldsson has joined from Afturelding, while Republic of Ireland U17 international Adam Idah has joined from College Corinthians.
“Thorvaldsson is a box-to-box midfielder, with a good goalscoring record,” says Gregg Broughton, City’s Head of Academy Recruitment. “He has been selected on a regular basis for Iceland at U16 and U17 level, and will represent his country at the Nordic Cup in August.
“Idah is a centre-forward and was a regular playing up a year for Ireland U17s last season, scoring eight goals in 10 games. He was identified as one of the players of the tournament in the UEFA U17 Finals in May, when Ireland were knocked out by England in the quarter-finals.”
