Norwich City are delighted to announce the signing of left-back James Husband from Middlesbrough.
Husband, who joins for an undisclosed fee, today signed a three-year deal with the Canaries.
The 23-year old, who has made 62 appearances at Championship level, made his first-team debut for Doncaster Rovers in 2012 and went on make 73 appearances for the club. He signed for Boro ahead of the 2014-15 campaign, before joining Fulham on loan for the remainder of the season. His loan spell at the south London club continued for the first half of the 2015-16 Championship campaign, before he moved on loan to Huddersfield Town in January 2016. He made his Premier League debut last season for Middlesbrough.
Husband, speaking exclusively to Norwich City TV, said: “I’m delighted to join such a big football club. First and foremost I’ve come here to play football and to enjoy my time as much as possible. The main thing is to try and get Norwich up the league as far as we can go.
“Everyone seems lovely and welcoming and I’m looking forward to my time here.”
Discussing City’s sixth summer signing, Head Coach Daniel Farke said: “James is quick, he’s technically good and knows how to defend. There are some things he needs to improve but he’s young and his attitude and character are excellent.
“He’s a young guy with lots of potential, but he also already has strong experience of playing in the Championship. He’s an excellent fit for our squad.”
