Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira said his team did what was needed after they collected a 2-0 win over MSV Duisburg as part of their pre-season tour of Germany.
Oliveira himself played a prominent role in Wednesday's victory, his break beyond the German outfit's defence on 27 minutes leading to a cynical challenge which saw defender Gerrit Nauber sent off.
He then struck the opener just before the hour-mark, ahead of proving enough of a nuisance to force a second for Daniel Farke's side just five minutes later.
"It was a good test for us against a good side," the forward told Norwich City TV.
"I think we played well, we were compact, we controlled the game and we won. So job done.
"They will start their league in the next few days and were very good physically. We played very well though and deserved to win.
"It is always important to score, even in a friendly game in pre-season. It is good for confidence but the most important thing is the team."
